Totally agree and I share your sentiment. Tax benefit on capital losses is the last thing I consider when investing in a company.
Like you, I use a SMSF as the vehicle for most of my investments and have done so since 2002.
We all have different tax profiles but an SMSF has worked best for me in my former working life and now as a retiree, particularly with the relief on capital gains.
Sparks' financial position is deteriorating. Today's announcement on negative outlook/watch by S&P has implications on its creditworthiness.
Further downside risk IMO, and added pressure on management.
