Yes, but how long will it take for New Zealand to recover? Whilst the RBNZ has started easing monetary policy, ongoing economic challenges of high interest rates and a weakening labor market, suggest that a rapid turnaround is unlikely. The impacts of a slowing economy can already be seen in the latest results, with lower demand for products and services from consumers and SME's.
Like many longer term holders I am now well out of the money following the 32% collapse in share price over the past 12 months. Management has guided for similar EBITDA for FY25, so share price is unlikely to recover in the short term. I am now questioning whether I should continue to hold,
