It's only mentioned as an aside in the last 2 paragraphs to provide context on his links to Australia. He's a non-exec Director of Tyro, whoop de do. FWIW I completely disagree with his views and it is yet another example of people with LNP Government connections (au pairs anyone?) getting special deals as if we didn't already have enough examples.
If you want to talk about companies with connections benefiting from government largesse head over to the Crown, News, Qantas, Estia and Building development threads where they're pocketing hundreds of millions in government handouts while Universities get nothing. To my knowledge Tyro hasn't received a brass razoo.
The story itself has nothing to do with Tyro, there's no suggestion otherwise. Or perhaps you think there are issues with Germany and Fiji (or yachts) because they were mentioned as well. Trying to link in Tyro to the story makes about as much sense as your claim that ANZ had issues to answer around branch stacking simply because the guy used an ANZ ATM.
