This may help you to understand the gravity of the Nogal state of affairs

The upper Nogal valley ( kalis 1 drill site ) according to the clan elders and local lawmakers of the district, have officially declared to the Puntland Govt, that they no longer recognise Puntland as having control of the region...Whilst Somaliland lay claim to the region...recently releasing upper nogal oil blocks (all west of Garowe) for sale to the international market.

The lower Nogal valley ( nogal 1 drill site )is currently an extremely volatile region ( the lands from Garowe to the pirate strong hold port of Eyl) And is the route used by disgruntled ex Punty soldiers as they defect to the maritime extortionists in search of a paid armed living.

The lower Nogal may be too unsafe to consider drilling for some time due to the ongoing fighting that has to do with Soldiers no longer loyal to Puntland joining forces with the maritime extortionists that have layed claim to Qarhis.

Qarhis has become a fortified stronghold in the lower coastal nogal where defecting soldiers are inducted into the pirate scam.

Today Punty loyal forces attempted to extort cash from the maritime crooks.

This has backfired (battle/casualties) creating the potential for escelation, further distrust and an assurance from the maritime crooks in Qaris and Eyl that they will not pay protection racket money to the Govt.

Until both of these heavy situations are addressed and resolved, a nogal drill update seems unrealistic imo.

Hence the dash to the Dahroor region imo.
