Yeah, BSL has got a few grey clouds over it's head. It wasn't doing too great profit wise to start with since GFC. Throw in a high AUD, high coal prices, Carbon tax and most of all, an over active bot/shorting team and BSL is definitely a shadow of it's former self.
My personal opinion is that long term you are correct. There will be some sort of compromise once Julia and Co find some pride to admit they got ahead of themselves with the tax. I'm just not keen that the budget in 2 weeks means squat will happen short term. You know the crap, people all hang back with the typical market excuse, 'let's see how the budget affects business and consumer'. Really??? Same old way. You'll all be screwed slightly,as per standard budget, have a hussy fit with share prices, and then move on. Chris1968 had a funny analogy about the Gov - put a truffle in your pocket and walk around a pig farm- to get the feeling LOL.
Just my opinion, if you're going long, excellent buy. If you're trading, give it a wide berth. Better stocks than this to insult me with a stop loss. ;)
