    I've certainly heard a lot about shorters and bot trading and dark pools and market leading and then read a fair bit about them then thought about them a bit. I don't like the idea because it doesn't seem equitable.

    I can see there are occasions when short trading could ruin a company (for example where debt covenants are hit and margin lending directors need to sell etc...) But I am typically a value investor and I don't ever get into a point where I have to sell so should I worry about bot trading? Isn't it just noise? And shouldn't the sp cycle around true value given time? If one is aware of the fact that there are shorters and bots in action doesn't that also provide opportunity?
