The Taxed rate depends on how you buy/sell and you are correct that part ain't that simples.
As for potentially "missing out". It is sometimes a matter of bird (fist full of $$s) in the hand vs. two in the bush. There are plenty of other opportunities on the ASX other than ADO. Although it is my favourite at the mo.
