If the saliva thing really is just around the corner, it's likely that they're waiting for results, then they'll apply to modify the CE mark, after which we'll be distributing a test with the option to use nasal or saliva samples.
It wouldn't make much sense to launch a nasal-only test, just to have a saliva capable one come out a month later, especially from a marketing perspective as countries are looking for a differentiating qualities, rather just another regular ART. This way we have the saliva as well as top-notch accuracy.
I think everything is on the back burner until the saliva is released, then we'll get those results and the manufacturing contracts in quick succession.
If the saliva stuff is delayed, that would be a serious blow. I'm dying for a progress update on that matter.
