Everyone coming to Australia from countries other than NZ could be made to have a second COVID-19 test eight hours before flying according to an article in the HeraldSun on 23 May.
According to Health Minister Hunt: "... this combination of high-quality PCR and rapid antigen testing is now ... an option, which we're modelling for helping to progressively open up the borders."
He says that Professor Jodie McVernon is leading a program at the Doherty Institute to provide national cabinet with a range of options.
