In regards to why the sp has gone up today it may mean one of two things.
(a) As suggested by others it could be that short sellers are covering their shorts...
or
(b)The price has started going up in anticipation of the TI announcement being imminent.
I'd hazard a guess that its possibly option b. From past experience where there is a potentially highly positive announcement due to be made and there is prior notice of it buyers start to come in through anticipation.
Anyways next week will tell.....
