I don't know if I agree. On heavily shorted or pumped stocks I have seen them put in deliberate trades every time below or above the current price to keep movements and hence some of the sentiment going in the direction they want after a normal trade is made. a lot of inexperienced punters just trade on price movement and ignore volume and divergance patterns so this is manipulation in my book.
