I think there is always a strong group of VHNW investors for every stock that went up multiple times (e.g. RAC of 70 times and IMU of 35 times within a short time frame of 12 to 24 months) as they have the market making resources. I can't help to also think that there could be a concerted effort to increase the mc of selected biotech over time so that it can drive the boom of biotech industry in Australia. And, I think PTX is definitely in the list when you see it was able to secure omni-CAR from world renowned Pennsylvania and Cambridge University, enter into collaboration with Peter Mac and built up a robust pipeline of drugs for clinical trials.
Let's visit the sp journey of RAC and IMU. It is interesting to note that:
1. The rising sp journey were not smooth at all and were highly volatile. The retraces at early stage were scary esp for RAC. Good for many traders to make tons of money in both.
2. RAC's sp rise was much more volatile over a longer period than that of IMU. The reason may be RAC has only 1 drug while IMU has multiple.
3. The volatility happened at a much lower share price and became more and more stable at higher share price, probably as a result of stronger conviction by the market and more shares have fallen into the hands of VHNWs. This tells me that do not be afraid when sp keeps moving up as it will reach a point of high stability. But of course, we need to monitor closely of each ann the company makes.
How will PTX's sp journey look like? I think it will probably perform in similar to, if not faster than IMU since they've common co-founder, Paul Hopper with multiple assets. (Note: I remember PTX has 2 hidden assets selected for C19 but no ann on them after the extended trial ann earlier).
PTX has about 650m shares while IMU has 4,700m shares. For every cent that go up for both stocks, MC for IMU will increase by $47m while PTX will increase by $6.5m. It also means that IMU will have to lift heavier weight than PTX, and hence I think PTX may rise at faster speed over next 12 months. Furthermore, traders/investors who gained multiple x from RAC and IMU will now have more resources to buy or punt PTX.
No time to write properly and so just pen my random thought on PTX as they come. DYODD and stay tuned for multi-X in PTX. GLTA
