Isn?t it tempting to pick up some more FWL at this price?!! It seems that they?re so close to a deal. If they get there FWL will fly!! But as we know, they?ve been this close before and haven?t made it across the line. In the past, they?ve been able to blame external factors (GFC, RSPT etc) but we don?t know to what extent other factors might have contributed to them faltering (their negotiation skills, faults in their business plan).
They?ve also demonstrated that they can?t distinguish between tyre kickers and serious interest. Let?s hope that they?ve learnt their lesson here and that they?re dealing with serious contenders this time.
They?ve certainly learnt their lessons in relation to being discreet about the status of their negotiations. In the past, they were blowing their trumpet very loudly at this stage of negotiations ? their announcements these days are a lot more circumspect.
