His comment is not ridiculous. All these ppl who oppose Gas/Petrol/coal should start with giving up these things in there daily lives.
Moving to alternative sources is different to opposing everything when you yourself don't want to give up on your lifestyle.
This transition from Coal to alternate sources is going to be a time consuming process and gas will be the middle link between the two.
I'm all in for Greener fuels, when they are available but opposing existing fuel resources when i use them every minute in my life would be height of Hypocrisy
