Long term fundamentals and prospects are only valid if they become reality. Until then it's just a opinion on the future. Educated guess. No different to someone's opinion that they won't turn out as predicted, for whatever reason.
Personally, I believe that GXY will navigate successfully the challenges it faces with delivering the major projects in the pipeline. But I can't be sure of that or that a person who predicted 50 cents won't turn out to be correct despite what my thoughts on the future are.

But that's very rarely the cause of endless bickering, the long term prospects.
