There may be some delay, but only marginal. Depth is around 2750 mtr now, maybe deeper. This means the TWO vertical wells nearly done.
'way way behind' is just not true. Given the constraints early days it is quite an achievement.
Nowadays there are hardly any protestors. Just the small shed (for the homeless) opposite the entrance, where they are counting pipes (thank you) and making pictures of the rig. Also they hallucinate and invent scare stories on what's happening on site. They're on top of it these protestors. Unfortunately for them they did however miss the convoy that brought the rig on site. It was too early for them...
I do admire their resilience. They get a live training as to how a proper site is run. And day by day their arguments loose ground. Although, to be fair, we can still improve on the wheel wash.
The recent streaming video from site killed a number of their recent claims. Sour gas and some other nonsense they invented. The progress was a bit different then they thought, as the drill pipes (that they count 24/6 are not 10 meters but 14 meters (lol).
And last but not least, yesterday the planning officer of the Council decided that Cuadrilla will be allowed night transport to and from site. Probably this will not happen, as there are no protestors left that can piss a hole in the snow, but at least it is a 'nice to have'.
I think the number of protestors is synonymous with the number of interested investors in this share... Even a near collapse of the UK energy system did not make any significant impact. So the upside is still on the table...thank you very much. It seems the shares are a bit harder to get though. But, to be clear anyone selling below 1-1.50 is crazy. After this weeks energy events in Europe and UK the value of this strategic asset went up by a factor of x.
