Without knowing the pipe dia, might take a stab at this.
My thoughts on 2 possibilities:
1) It could either b 7" casing joints that might b shipped to the OP for a C&S, or
2) A really remote possibility that they may opt to sidetrack, which means set the plug, cut a window higher up in the 12.25" casing & then build up angle. The later Ops, needs different bit & hardware. (Once again, we dont know the pipe dia, so my guestimate).
As per their 30th Dec update (page 3 & 4 seismics) shows that the well appears to have been drilled very close to a fault & the 45m thk highly porous SST reservoir (frm 421-466m as per the gamma ray logs) abuts against this fault, so any HC's (if present initially) have either seeped out thro' this fault &/or r accumulated towards the closure/dome & that the JV drilled the well in the wrong location.
Which could mean that they may opt to ST & redrill thro' the top, where the HC's mayb accumulated. Just a theory at this point in time.
Once again these r my views & could b mere waffle by the time they release their update on Tues (4th Jan).
