More accurate to state that the NAB ATH as at more than 20 years ago, the banking majors (exc CBA) have not progressed in line with the broader market as measured by the XJO benchmark. In any case, if the compounding effect of cpi % adjustment over that duration was applied, the real ATH would be exceedingly higher than the artificial sp as claimed. The three majors (exc CBA - non holder) are 1980's relics managed by 1950's bankers, and only really reformed with all the consequential benefits during the Hawke/Keating years. In the interim, how many times has the banking sector been bailed out by respective Govts (ie taxpayer funded).
