I think it may be some larger holders wanting out. PRU has now underperformed for too long and the promised turnaround is a fair way off.
If the POG were to average at USD1250 over the next 3 months than PRU's cash balance would be wiped out and they would need to raise funds.
I will buy some shares at the current POG if it falls to around 42 cents. Gives a reasonable risk/reward proposition, unless you believe the POG will spike up after the FOMC meeting tonight.
