Rice, corn and wheat prices continue to strengthen from strength to strength. With rising food prices one would expect farming expansions and the desire to increase productivity to occur, and to do so comes greater demand for farming inputs such as fertiliser and potash. The investment proposition MAK offers continues to be very appealing with imminent news ahead in the next three months in the lead up to confirmation of full funding.

On the side note, for those new to agriculture stocks, the reason why many posters keep watch of rice, corn and wheat prices is simple, it is because these three common staple foods feeds 60% of the world?s stomach if one were to put all meals into one basket. Where 50% of the world?s population depend on rice and 90% of the world?s consumption comes from Asia. Where our potential strategic partners are from!

In addition, grain, 8kg of grain is required to produce 1kg of meat, and with rising wealth and population shifts from poor to rich we have all began to see increase meat consumption across developing nations. With this, comes increase crop production to produce grain, hence rising inputs, rising prices as supply try to keep up with demand.

$0.60 tested, long term continuation patterns trying to hold falling on relatively low volumes, perhaps investors moving to the next hot thing of the month being it Silver and or Gold. Today?s finish will be interesting.
