apols to all and every for the delayed response, but in answer to your question "did not the SP hit a dollar intraday in January 2012", the response is definitely not, and nowhere near. I really wish one would check one's facts (remember facts are facts) before heading for the keyboard. An intraday SP of one dollar was hit 29 October 2012 with closing price 97.5 cents, all post consolidation figures of course, well after all the GM's were over. Until Clive started his raid, the SP had not had a closing above 40.5/8.1 cents since 1 August 2011. And as we know, it was under 27.5/5.5 cents for most of the SPP that was priced at 5.5 cents which probably contributed to its failure. Even after the announcement of the Surprise flow test result.
Hopefully if you check the above chart courtesy of commsec charting, you will see the light. And refrain from posting incorrect and misleading data, remember facts are facts.
