Markettrend, your theory does not make sense. Higher US dollar means more buying power for US. Higher US dollar also means higher profits in non US dollar currencies such as AU dollar. Hence SP should go up based on the exchange movement from 80 to 79 US cents per 1 AU dollar. Saying that currency movement was not significant.
