My prediction is that drilling at Mereenie will start asap (Christmas/just after?); meanwhile we will have had the AGM and one or two more/different board members appointed. Total will be 5 or 6. Expect Hubbard to stay for another year and Gasteen and/or Moore to be offered up as a sacrifice at the AGM or in the near future. CTP will want the board to look strong.
I expect Cottee will be focusing on delivering on his promises rather than grovelling too much to Macquarie.
The SP will try and rise as the drilling results come through, reserves upgraded and GSA's negotiated. I can see a lot of small punters getting out of the stock up to 20c then some larger ones after that. The day-traders will be like herring feeding on burly between here and 20c.
Unless some long term serious holders come in and soak up the loose stock, the SP may struggle to gain momentum with the selling pressure on. If this happens Macquarie may come back with another SoA? It will be determined by the perceived value of CTP versus the share price. Alternatively Macquarie may stand in the market and buy (cheaply) up to 19.9% (mandatory takeover threshold is 20%) then creep further before eventually pouncing. The new best friends and major shareholders will be well in the black so may be happy to simply take a profit and go?
Let's hope the True Believers get to see the promised land.
