I'm not TA expert, but generally when a gap is mentioned, the SP retraces to fill it... that being the case (unless the next set if assays are just as good as the last) it may well that the chartist's theory regarding gaps is realized...
My personal opinion based on being a GPP holder for over a year is that the gap will close, at some point unfortunately.
