...and also there are currently a number of other comparable size gold explorers and producers making good discoveries and returning solid production figures. It's a competitive arena and investors have many good places to put their money. You might be a rising star in the VFL, but once you're thrown into the AFL, your skills may not have changed, but it becomes much harder to stand out when you're surrounded by other great players.
