The Indara 4G tower at Mullumbimby which was vandalised in late May 2024 and consequently toppled over, has now been re-hoisted and fixed.
What is of greatest interest is that the tower has been re-hoisted and fixed with only rudimentary repairs to the fence enclosing the tower and with no installation of surveillance equipment.
Now, I can understand that Indara would have been pulling out all stops to get their tower in Vallances Road Mullumbimby operational again, but I'm quite bemused that this activity wasn't paralleled by the installation of Spectur surveillance equipment. In that regard, it seems implausible that Spectur would not have been able to quickly deploy surveillance equipment to the site, if requested by Indara.
In any case I'll follow this one up with Spectur management, because I can't conceive that Indara would be reckless enough to rehoist and fix the tower only to risk having vandals replicate their previous actions.
