If you can keep to that, you're on a long term winner. I never lose enthusiasm for the market, and what's happening, even though a lot of people do when it goes quiet.

Actually, when it goes quiet is a very good time to look for signals, because they are not so lost in the chaos of a lively market. In other words a couple of stocks making new highs in a weak market stand out like the proverbials. And there is usually a very good reason for such moves.

I initially picked up FMG in 2003, when it stood out among a lot of also-rans. It stood out then, and it still does. Not a ot of people seem to be doing their sums on 155tpa, which AF will make sure does happen. Despite what the Fairfax press says at every opportunity they can.
