Seems it’s the current trend to merge, save on synergies and rise up the indices.
I personally don’t like mergers, would rather a traditional takeover where you get a substantial premium straight up. Mergers are like a draw, no winner lol.
Do think both companies are at the start of much better outcomes after the hard yards so would like to see how they go on their own merits. Gives me 2 options to invest in rather than 1 … risk offset.
Time will tell.
