I’ve never been less confident this will go ahead in Middle Arm Darwin. You don’t suddenly backtrack and question whether the land allocated by the government years ago, is suitable, without serious reservations or reasons / pressure to do so.

Other suggested places have their own serious issues too, mostly around water availability and even higher capex.

This could end up the greatest mining project that never got off the ground.

I wonder if the Germans are considering setting up a TiVAN refinery there / somewhere in Asia where they can fast track it, and ship the ore over? And it begs the question then as to whether they would be better off just taking someone like AVL out and using their better quality ore instead. You could buy that company roughly for the cost of a desalination plant.

There‘s going to need to be some very creative thinking going on if this gets up before 2025 / at all, unless the government and the NTEPA come to an unlikely agreement.

Almost begs the question why SMS need TNG at all? If they owned the Tivan process outright, they’d have no need for them at all.

That’s possibly one of the better outcomes for TNG holders right now. To get bought out (and at this stage many would jump at 15c-20c per share).

Either way, Paul Burton is culpable and should be unceremoniously sacked imho. He’s cost holders dearly in both time and opportunity cost. Even his Indian “mates” at Vimson are now down over 30%. I bet they’re not happy.
