Yuz are both wrong!
The "modern" (post-modern?) woman simply seeks equality with her male partner but, sometimes, the male partner doesn't like that; a battle of rights ensues and the patriarchs shout out exactly those sentiments.
The "modern western society" created both, the "modern woman" as well as the "modern man." All three are characterised by the constituents of selfishness and avaricious consumerism but this is not the case everywhere.
