Sacd,good evening CO-OPs were everywhere in fruit growing areas in the 60's and 70's.They just gave the growers one voice in the price and shipping etc of their ripe fruit. In my day they were big employers in the local community and were a major support of the local community. As always someone knew better and convinced everyone to agree. I don't pretend to be right here,just suggesting something to consider.Good Luck
