Yeah, I have fond memories of visiting relatives in Yorkshire and struggling to understand some of the older locals who spoke in dialect, (based on old Viking words).
That experience came in handy later in life when communicating with people in Australia who also have strong accents, be they Spanish, other European or Asian, etc.
