Interesting point Lawrence makes, as AG Garland has a shit load on his plate and handing the investigations to Jack Smith means Jack will be able to focus solely on the Trump investigations without distractions so things may move more quickly
DoJ has already done a ton of work on the Jan 6th and documents case, including interviewing a heap of people under subpoena so is already well advanced.
Interesting that until now Jack Smith is relatively unknown but will now become a household name and possibly one of the most famous prosecutors of all time. Hopefully Garland instructs him to nail Trump at any cost LOL
