I was reading in the AFR this week which mentioned that once SIP sell their branch for $900 million that SIP is going to pay off some debt, keep some capital for the future but potentially look at providing shareholders with a special dividends of .18 cents fully franked. That would be interesting but sadly the sale is not yet complete and and it will be a while before they decide what they want to do with the excess funds. It would be great for the shareholders to receive the cash because they have really gone through some crap with this company over the recent year. For those that have held on for this long should be compensated a little and i would be absolutely stoked to receive approx 20 cents per share..... The finalizing of the deal should be complete this coming week i think, but does anyone have a date? Otherwise what does everyone think about the potential special once off dividends and what it would temporarily boost the share price up too ? :) thanks for your comments!!!
Cheers,
GC
