hmmmm the issue of divvy ....
this thread prompted me to have a look at the dividend paying history of BHP, must admit, I've not followed it before. And I have to say, their previous dividends do disappoint me.
If they are trading on a PE of about 10 with a SP at 25 that means they are making what ... $2.50 per share. if thats the case I'd like to see an annual divvy of about $1 per share AT LEAST. the report I read over this morning suggested a half yearly divvy of 30 cents. my first thought was 'pretty ordinary'. I'm hoping for a half yearly dividend of 50-60 cents per share declared.
Do you think i'm being too ambitious or asking too much?
