SPECTACULAR GOLD / COPPER INTERCEPT AT IMPERIAL DISCOVERY LATEST DIAMOND DRILLING RETURNS 8.29 METRES AT 16.51 G/T GOLD AND 1.25% COPPER INCLUDING 1.47 METRES AT 55.90 G/T GOLD AND 4.24% COPPER
Integra Mining Limited (ASX:IGR, Integra) is pleased to report diamond drilling results from the recently discovered Imperial Prospect located in the Majestic area, part of the Company’s Randalls Gold Project.
The diamond hole was drilled to provide structural information on the mineralisation controls on previously reported high-grade gold and copper intercepts,has returned spectacular results including: • 8.29 metres at 16.51 g/t gold and 1.25% copper, including o 1.47 metres at 55.90 g/t gold and 4.24% copper • 1.00 metre at 5.40 g/t gold and 0.32% copper, and • 1.00 metre at 4.10 g/t gold and 0.02% copper
The Imperial prospect is located approximately 500 metres northwest of the Majestic gold deposit. The Imperial Prospect is part of the Monger Joint Venture between Integra (85%) and Newcrest Operations Limited (15%). Gold mineralisation is hosted within the same granodiorite unit hosting the Majestic gold deposit and appears to be associated with a similar series of porphyry dykes.
Recently reported results (see ASX announcement 10 February 2012) from the RC drill program completed in December 2011 indicate that the mineralisation at Imperial continues for at least 190 metres strike and remains open to the north and south and down dip.
Visible gold was observed in the diamond hole reported on above at the Imperial Prospect (Figure 4). The high-grade intersections are associated with chalcopyrite-rich zones.
Additional RC drilling to further test the continuity and strike extent of gold mineralisation at Imperial is ongoing.
The RC holes are being cased with slotted casing in preparation for conducting down hole IP surveys. Very encouraging chalcopyrite zones have been observed in the RC holes drilled to date in the current programme. Assay results from the series of RC drill holes are pending.
