As much as i hate this silly threads, I'm going to make a single comment..
I'd assume the benefits to SSC will largely depend on how much phosphate we can exploit.. meaning, currently the togolese government is exploiting really small amounts, if we can substantially increase that amount, we'll take a much bigger slice of the earnings. So saying 50% government, 40% ssc, is ludicrous, as for all we know it could be 10% government, and 80% ssc, if we overhauled their system/infrastructure to exploit 20x the current amount..
That being said, the togolese government has already said that they want a partner, or to privatise it for their third phase, which includes (from memory) improving the exploiting from 3mt, to 10mt.. and building the phosphoric acid plant. So that being said, none of us know how the % breakdown of profits would work, and hence why i believe its silly to have this conversation again, and again.
Disclosure Statement: I'm considering halving my holdings, cause I do believe if this comes off, it'll be good news, but im sinical, and hedging.
Wont surprise me in the slightest if the togolese government scrap their tender, and reissue because they didnt go national. (assuming this is a possibility, im not a lawyer)
