- The inferred heavy mineral resource for the main deposits has been estimated at 1.33 billion tonnes of sand averaging 2.5% heavy mineral at a cut-off of 1.5% heavy mineral.

From MDL Grande Cote Zircon Project booklet:
- Mine 52 million tonnes of sand per year
- Mine life 25 years

Also, there are new opportunities (markets) with leucoxene, rutile and secondary ilmenite which was once only considered as surplus.

Sabodala is a bonus with MDL, the zircon project is the real money-maker for the company.
