I guess there has been a lot of talking between companies as bids were prepared for the Govnt's regional broadband initiative. One of the main bids was Optus/Elders which only has a minor link to IIN through Amcom stake in IIN.

Perhaps they were talking about other initiatives as well. Anyway there seems to be a bit more interest IIN's shares in the last couple of days so you could be onto something.
