Canaccord Genuity runs these conferences as a kind of investor relations trade show. They will pick an industry (e.g. health, defence, mining) or investment sector (e.g. growth) and then invite investors who have an interest in that area, and potential investments who represent that area. DroneShield would have been invited because they have achieved substantial growth and their technical area of expertise is hot at the moment. It's just a marketing exercise.
Talks, partnerships and/or transactions may eventuate. Without inside information it's impossible to estimate the likelihood, impact, nature, or benefits of the result.
Like any marketing exercise, it's good that DroneShield is doing it. Attending and presenting at the conference is a positive thing. But I don't think that by itself it's enough to justify a change in position.
