The correct mindset here is to view your current holdings without thinking of the past. It's classic investing advice that works. Do your current assets in RED have more upside here or elsewhere? As one of many who got hammered on RED, I know this is difficult.
I have taken the former view by buying more at the offering (now, hopefully not temporarily, above water) and some more when the sp dipped much lower.
As for getting back to the earlier price of $1 or Templeton's buy in at $2.12, don't hold your breath. The dilution has made those valuations a distant point in the solar system.
As I recall from discussion (including my own post) in late 2013, RED's target price in 2012 was more than $3 (yes, really, and from multiple brokers!). Due to dilution, that now works out to something less than 40 cents.
So, if RED can overcome its many hurdles, if it can produce close to its cash cost potential (which it was heading towards before April shut down), and if gold remains steady, we might see 30-40 cents in a couple of years.
Meanwhile, please DYOR. This stock is definitely high risk.
