The main roads are 60kplus...while suburban streets are 50kph, unless designated 40kph, but then you have areas that are 30kph unless u are in the areas that are 20kph or less ie 10kph.

You have 60 to 90kph zones that turn into 40kph zones from 8.30am to 10am weekday then revert back to normal speed limits, until 2.30pm an 4pm in those 40kph zones near schools......unless it is a weekend or public holiday or designated school holiday time.....

some people will be in a 40kph zone an drive at 20kph to be safe......then speed back up to 30kph in a 70kph zone...

Then you can drive 4 to 6 kilometres and have 5 to ten different speed zones on a main road or arterial road....

residential areas in Sydney have been 50kph or less for over 20 years now.... some areas are far less.... one area I went to once had a limit of 10kph....

I am just getting to Old for all this.....time to move to the country.....

well that is my whinge for the day .........an you boys and girls don't hear me whinging much on these forums....

so I will leave it at that...
