"Why isn't there a constant advertising campaign about good driving skills and awareness ?"
Acorn, if I became Prime Monster of Australia, nobody would get a licence until they had:
1. Completed an advanced driving course.
2. Spent a week as a volunteer dealing with road accident victims.
Having said that, I got my licence in a small country town by driving to the Police station, picking up the cop and taking him around the block a couple of times, very carefully. The latter incurred a reminder that I had an extra gear I hadnt used, lol.
And then dropping him off and driving home. He gave me a book of the road rules in case I ever drove down to Perth, lol. I was licenced. The regulations I learned as I went along.
Judging by the nature of some accidents, I fear that some might be still getting their licences too easy.
