speed of light question, page-5

Great Q!


My first thought is that I imagine that the impractical side of this Q is that lights would function but not project forwards or emit light unless you were at a distance to view it many many years later, from a polar-opposite position.

(Ignoring the vacuum that would occur and the fact that a filament would not ignite unless it was hermetically sealed)


Rationale:
Light speed is a constant velocity and therefore cannot accelerate beyond the speed it already is at - ie the speed of the car.
Therefore they would operate (ignoring vacuum), but not function as designed as they focus angle/aspects could not in fact exist in the absence of projectability.

The Q does introduce inconsistencies though as does my answer and i will be pondering it for some time.
