Harvest Powers new Speedcast Remote Video Streaming Solution, accelerates sales capability
Today Speedcast, a global leader in communications and IT services, announced the launch of Speedcast SmartViewTM, an innovative remote video and audio communications solution for the energy, maritime, enterprise, telecommunications and government sectors, powered by Harvest's ultra-low bandwidth Network Optimized Livestreaming solution.
Harvest's ultra-low bandwidth Network Optimized Livestreaming solution allows Speedcast SmartView to securely stream high-definition video and audio real-time via satellite at a fraction of the bandwidth previously required."Speedcast's strategy to market SmartView to the energy, maritime, enterprise, telecommunications and government sectors supports our goal to accelerate Phase 2 of our Three-Phase Strategic plan", said David Fosberg, Chief Customer Officer, Harvest Technology Group. This announcement is the next step in the relationship between the two organizations following a reseller agreement announced in October. It scales the Harvest Technology Group sales capability globally to include Speedcasts network of more than 3,200 customers in 140 countries, including 10,000 maritime vessels and 8,000 terrestrial sites.
