i am surprised it took so long. the response suggests mgmt can't explain the price run up.
i spoke to mgmt in nov and more recently and there was nothing new from what i could tell.
i sold out at nice profit months ago but unfortunately missed this rally.
only two things i can think of that could be driving the runup:
- potential takeover. APA already seem to have their hands full with the HDF takeover. if anyone else wanted to take it over they would probably want to internalise the mgmt of the asset, ie APA no longer involved.
- ethane supply agreement between qenos and santos in moomba - if qenos secures more long term ethane then that means they really need the pipe long term and would massively derisk the epx invesmtnet in my mind. does anyone know if this has already happened?
mgmt guidance suggests a refinance of the debt is off the table, so distributions should continue to be impacted in the near term.
