I had similar response however, I disagree with "we can’t fabricate news to release to the market." Ive seen many companys provide "Company Updates" or "Letter to Shareholder" summarising the companies progress and what to look forward too etc. Management could easily pen an annoucement not specifically adressing the "SP action" (if the ASX will not accept this), but providing an overall summary of the year or quarter etc. Some reasurrance to shareholders could be incoporated (if they have nothing to be worried about)
