For once I agree with the ASX...

However, I feel they are barking up the wrong tree with half of their questions.

The trading on Dec 15th and then again on the 18th stinks of insider trading...management may or may not however be involved, as there are many eyes that might speak.

Put simply, the drill core is visible as it comes out of the ground...every man and his dog standing nearby would have seen what they were hitting.

Rarely are directors the last to find out, so one would assume someone at a key level was aware of it pretty quickly.

Now...up to this point however, nothing wrong has occurred...one cannot be expected to throw a company into a trading halt everytime some shiny specles are seen in the core.

Also need time to understand what it is exactly they are seeing...to this end, even a day or two delay is not an issue with me, just as long as nobody acts on what they are seeing...nor tells anyone else who might!

But...when the stock clearly trades abnormally, with a price rise accompanied by heavy volumes, clearly someone has spoken out of place. It is at this point that something is not quite right...and I for one support the ASX in its endeavours to get to the bottom of this.

But...since the initial hole results were released, the market has pretty much behaved as expected...well in my view it has anyway.

So...by all means question the trading in the stock prior to the first release, in which there was clearly insider activity of some sort...but lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater...AGAIN...in spite of what they have.

The results are significant and the share price has reacted accordingly, so please ASX, lets not hand this one on a platter to the "suits" as you have with previously discoveries, with another badly handled "investigation" into trading activities.

This does nothing but hurt the smaller investors...the very people you claim to be protecting. Investigate by all means...but please do so in a truly unbiased and balanced way, with full amd transparent disclosure.

Companies are not always responsible for such things by the way...drilling crews on the other hand are not necessarilly known for their ASX style compliance.

Not suggesting the crews are responsible by the way...but clearly someone knew a positive announcement was brewing before the event.

One things always gets me in these situations...why on earht don't the ASX simply identifying the initial buyers...clearly the ones with the inside info?

Would save a whole lot of trouble if you ask me.

    Cheers!
