If Albanese ever spends a decent amount of time in Australia he will see that Labor is on the nose and will water down the bill before it goes back to be voted on.
There was a report in the media over the weekend that said that currently just over 50% of government revenue is proved by the Australian mining industry. The mining industry is deeply opposed to the madness of Tony Burke and Albanese would not want to be offside with the miners at the next federal election as the miners can generate a bigger warchest for negative advertising better than any other group in Australia.
