Spend-a-lot Bill has signaled to Aussie shipbuilders to pad their tenders. It will be a vote winner in SA and it will be borrowed cash.
A quick calculation reveals that it would be cheaper to pay Aussie shipbuilding workers a million dollars and still save billions for taxpayers by building overseas.
Now I think it would be great to build the subs here.
